Penryn & Falmouth Funeral Directors are a local, privately-owned business, and at some point you will probably meet or speak to most of our team. Caring and genuinely interested in the whole family, we take great personal pride in the service that we provide, and this is reflected in all the individual elements of the funeral arrangements that we undertake on your behalf.
Robin Hattswell-Burt and Daniel Shermon are our funeral directors, and at some point you and the family will meet with one of them. Drawing on years of experience, they will be able to guide you through the choices available to you, and will relieve you of many of the administrative things necessary in making the funeral arrangements for both religious and secular services.
We love to hear a little bit about you all, to hear some stories, and hopefully to help you smile about the happy times you shared with them, as it helps us to build a picture up of the loved one in our care, as it helps us to make things as personal as we possibly can. You might like to know a little bit about us, too.

Lawson Timmins
Hearse Driver
Lawson is a key member of our team, and will probably be one of the first members of our team that you will meet. Lawson has close contact with the family, often visiting your home when needed. He also looks after our fleet of cars, lovingly polishing and cleaning them, and will more than likely be one of the drivers on the day of the funeral.
Here for you, any time you need us
We know that the passing of a loved one can be a very sad and daunting time. We are all here to help you as much as you need, providing a professional and caring service by qualified staff who are available 24 hours a day. We treat all enquiries and client information in the strictest confidence and with complete discretion.
We are able to advise on all legal formalities. These might include how to register the death, what happens when HM Coroner is involved, burial and cremation laws, as well as other less usual things. We can talk you through what happens at an inquest, when a death occurs away from home, or when international repatriation is needed.
Whilst making the arrangements we will liaise with the relevant authorities and third parties, with clergy and officiants, crematoria, doctors, cemeteries, newspapers and hotels on your behalf. We will be there to carry the administrative burden so that you can concentrate on the things that matter most to you.
We engage our own professional and highly qualified florist and are able to bring you the very finest in floral tributes using fresh local and imported flowers. We have a comprehensive brochure to help with your decisions, and can accommodate any individual requirements that you may have.
We have a fleet of purpose built Mercedes Hearse and State Limousines, and have uniformed chauffeurs. Our staff are always presented to the highest standards for the funeral Cortege so that we can accompany your loved one with the utmost dignity and respect, which is what they deserve. All our vehicles may be inspected by prior appointment.
We also have an extensive range of memorials and we employ the services of an experienced mason. Should you wish to discuss any memorial requirements that you have, we will be able to advise you on any choice that you wish to make. We also offer a cleaning and restoration service, and details are available on request.
